Indians drop close match with No. 16 Gulf Coast

PERKINSTON - The Indians dropped a closely fought match Tuesday at No. 16 Gulf Coast, 1-0.

The team held the Bulldogs scoreless until the 38th minute when they allowed the only goal of the day. Russell Brown (New Orleans, La.) recorded two shot attempts in the loss to Gulf Coast with one of those being a shot-on-goal. Aiden Belk (Oxford), Luke Dearsley (Sydney, Australia) and Gage Lashlee (Olive Branch) each added a shot attempt as well.

Despite allowing a goal in the loss to Gulf Coast, Christian Mahan ended the match with five saves recorded.

The Indians are now 7-5-3 overall and 4-2-3 in conference play. ICC will be back in action on Friday, October 19, when they travel to Summit for a conference match with Southwest slated for 7 p.m.
