FULTON - The Indians avoided a loss and ended their match with Hinds in a 1-1 draw at the ICC Soccer Complex on Friday.

Hinds got the first goal of the contest to take a 1-0 lead over the Indians with 26 minutes to go in the first half. It wasn't until after the halftime break when the Indians found the equalizer and tied the game off a penalty kick from Gage Lashlee (Olive Branch) with 24 minutes to go.

But the Indians couldn't find that second goal to take the lead over the Eagles, resulting in the draw.

Christian Mahan (Southaven) finished the contest with a pair of saves and one goal allowed.

The Indians now sit at 7-4-3 overall and 4-1-3 in conference play. ICC will be back in action Tuesday, October 17, when they go on the road to Perkinston to take on No. 16 Gulf Coast at 5 p.m.
