COTTLEVILLE, MO – The men's soccer team fell to St. Charles Community College, 2-1, in its 2023 season-opener on Friday.
Trailing 2-0, William Blake (Fulton) made a crucial save on a penalty kick to provide a spark for the Indians' (0-1) rally.
St. Charles (1-0) held off a barrage of shots in the opening moments of the second half before Maryo Elsheikh (Memphis) found the back off the net off a cross from Russell Brown (New Orleans) to make it a 2-1 contest.
The Indians couldn't find the equalizer late in the game and dropped the one-goal decision.
ICC will be back in action Saturday at 11 a.m. when they take on Mineral Area College (MO) to wrap up their weekend tour of the Show Me State.
