Indians fall to Gulf Coast for first loss this season

Fulton, Miss. – The Indians suffered their first loss of the season Saturday as Gulf Coast scored three unanswered goals to pick up the 3-1 win.

Clayton O'Daniel (Tupelo) gave the Indians (6-1, 4-0 MACJC North) an early 1-0 lead with his unassisted goal at the 14th minute, but Gulf Coast tied the game after they were awarded a pk for a foul inside the box at the 27th minute.

At the 49th minute, Gulf Coast took a 2-1 lead, and added the final goal at the 87th minute.

The Indians battled and had eight shots on goal, but were unable to capitalize on their chances.

Wednesday, the Indians will host Bethel University for another non-division battle. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. and is scheduled to be broadcast on LetsGoICCTV.com/red
