Indians score three unanswered goals to defeat Hinds 3-2

Fulton, Miss. – The Indians rallied from a 2-0 deficit by scoring three goals in the final 22 minutes to defeat Hinds 3-2 in a key North Division battle Tuesday.

At halftime, the Indians (4-0, 2-0 MACJC North) trailed 1-0 and Hinds extended their lead to 2-0 with a goal at the 50th minute, despite the Indians controlling possession for most of the contest.

After some missed opportunities, the Indians found the back of the at the 68th minute when Lando Nichols (Chelsea, Ala.) beat the keeper off an assist from David Marquez (Madrid, Spain).

The Indians then netted the equalizer at the 75th minute when Carter Chandler (Tupelo) connected with Irvin Rodriguez (Pelham, Ala.), who beat the keeper to tie the game at 2-2.

With time winding down, Clayton O'Daniel (Tupelo) netted the game winner off an assist from Marquez to complete the come from behind win and to remain unbeaten.

The Indians will have another key division showdown Friday when they host East Central. Kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m.
