Three ICC Men’s Soccer players sign to the next level

FULTON, Miss. – Itawamba Community College's men's soccer players Luan Balestieri, Brian Heredia and Ryan Parker have signed to continue their careers at the next level.

Balestieri, a native of Rio Grande, Brazil, signed with Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Tex. In two seasons, the midfielder scored 12 goals and picked up 16 assists, 40 points and had three game winners. After his sophomore season, he was named to the NJCAA All-Region 23 team. Also, he was selected to the MACJC All-Star team and earned MACJC Player of the Week honors once during his final season in Fulton.

Heredia signed with Birmingham-Southern College after spending two seasons under Coach Mike Sullivan. The midfielder from Pelham, Ala. scored two goals and had one game winner, two assist and six points in his career at ICC. In his sophomore season, Heredia was named to the MACJC All-State team.

Parker, who came to Fulton from Brisbane, Australia, will continue his career next season at North Greenville University in Greenville, S.C. He anchored the back line for the Indians and scored three goals and picked up six points in his two seasons at ICC. The 6'4 defender earned MACJC All-State and All-Star honors in his sophomore season, and as a freshman, he was named to the MACJC All-State team.

The trio helped the Indians win 20 games over the past two seasons as well as the MACJC North Division title in 2018 and earned a share of the division championship in 2017.
