Indians drop season opener to defending champ Pearl River

POPLARVILLE, Miss. - The men's soccer team opened the 2018 season with one of the toughest test in the MACJC, facing the defending state and region champions Pearl River. The Indians fell, 4-0, after the Wildcats scored a pair of goals in each half.

Jevaun Ennis scored off an assist from Cooper Grafe

Ennis scored his second goal off another assist from Grafe

Jonovan Cucurullo added the third goal of the match off an assist from Kealan Baggett

Bo Bowman capped off the day with an unassisted goal late in the match.

"Pearl River is a really, really good team," said Coach Mike Sullivan. "We didn't play our best… but we got to learn a lot from ourselves. Hopefully, we'll be able to learn from our mistakes and move forward to get everything right with division play just a week away."
