Indians defeat Northwest, 5-0

FULTON, Miss. - The Indians completed the sweep behind a pair of goals from Alexis Resendiz (Horn Lake) in a 5-0 win over the Rangers on Monday.

Luan Balestieri (Rio Grande, Brazil) found Resendiz just under six minutes into the match to give the Indians an early 1-0 lead. Chase Huddleston (Tupelo) found the back of the net from 35 yards out to give ICC a 2-0 advantage in the 13th minute. Quickly in the second half, Resendiz scored an unassisted goal to put the Indians up 3-0 before Brendan Koehn (Amory) converted on a penalty and Austin Rowell (Amory) scored off an assist from Jake Kirkpatrick (Amory) to give the Indians the 5-0 victory.

Brandon White (Tupelo) went the distance in net to pick up the shutout victory.

The Indians improved to 4-3-1 overall and 3-0-1 in division play to remain in first place in the North.
