Indians fall at Meridian

MERIDIAN, MS – The Itawamba Community College men's soccer program found themselves in a tight battle with Meridian Community College Tuesday night, but the Eagles netted four goal in the second half to pick up a 4-0 victory.
The Indians (5-4, 2-2 MACJC North) had some scoring chances early on and in the first half, they were even with Meridian as the Eagles keeper and Brandon White (Tupelo) made big time saves to keep the game scoreless.
Early in the second half, the Eagles found the back of the net on two almost perfect shots in three minutes to take a 2-0 lead.
After several scoring chances by the Indians, the Eagles extended their lead with goals at the 62nd and 83rd minutes to complete the 4-0 victory.
Next for the Indians is a non-division match with Southwest Saturday at 3:00 pm
