FULTON, MS – In only their second home match of the season, the Itawamba Community College men's soccer squad scored three goals in under four minutes to defeat Northwest Mississippi Community College 3-1 Tuesday.
The Indians (4-3, 1-2 MACJC North) fell behind in the first half when the Rangers scored on a corner at the 19th minute, and they couldn't seem to find their offensive rhythm.
Trailing 1-0, the Indians found a spark and Cameron O'Daniel (Tupelo) netted the equalizer on a free kick at the 70th minute.
Just over three minutes later, O'Daniel connected with Michael Kiser (Olive Branch) who beat the keeper to give the Indians a 2-1 lead.
The Indians had the momentum and less than 30 seconds later, Luis Garcia (Olive Branch) found the back of the net on a rebound from a Boston Hampton (Tupelo) shot on goal.
The 3-1 win is the first North Division victory for the Indians and they will try to get back to .500 Friday when they travel to Holmes Community College.
