RAYMOND, MS – The Itawamba Community College men's soccer program dropped a hard fought MACJC North Division match to Hinds Community College 3-2 in double overtime Friday.
The Indians (3-3, 0-2 MACJC North) fell behind on an early goal by the Eagles, and trailed 2-0 after a quick goal in the second half.
As the second half progressed, the Indians intensity picked up and Michael Kiser (Olive Branch) beat the keeper off a ball from Logan Little (Tupelo) to pull the tribe within one with 30 minutes remaining in the match.
Just six minutes later, Kiser netted the equalizer that would eventually force overtime.
After a scoreless first overtime period, the Eagles did what they did in the first two halves and scored quick to pick up the 3-2 victory in overtime.
The Indians, who have been road warriors the first half of the season, will return home on Tuesday to take on the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers for another North Division battle.
