FULTON, MS – A four goal second half propelled the Itawamba Community College men's soccer team to a 5-0 victory over Holmes Community College and their first MACJC North Division win.

The Indians (2-3, 1-2-1 MACJC North) took an early lead as sophomore captain Sabi Malli (Tupelo) found the back of the net off an assist from D'Antae Bush (Starkville) at the fifth minute.

Looking for an insurance goal, the Indians pressured the Bulldogs and capitalized when Zach Ellis (Tupelo) beat the keeper after a great pass by Graves Marshall (Corinth) at the 58th minute.

The 2-0 lead quickly doubled as Hunter Johnson (Tupelo) and Michael Kiser (Olive Branch) scored back-to-back goals in under a minute midway through the second half.

With a comfortable four goal lead, the Indians had the game in control, but Boston Hampton (Tupelo) took a pass on a run from Blake Lashlee (Olive Branch) to score the game's fifth and final goal.

The Indians will step out of division and conference play Tuesday as they travel to Tennessee for a match against Bethel University's JV squad at 2:00 pm.
