SENATOBIA, MS -- Dylan Howard (Starkville) scored after a rebound from his own free kick in the 87th minute to help give the Indians (4-2-1; 2-1-1 MACJC North) a 1-0 victory over the Rangers (2-1-2; 1-1-1 MACJC North) on Tuesday.
"It's always big anytime you can win on the road in this league," said Coach Mike Sullivan. "The guys fought hard against a very good Northwest squad and kept battling to eventually find a way to come away with the win."
Keeper Cullen Grantham (Corinth) extended his streak to 230 minutes in net without allowing a goal after his second-straight shutout.
"It's all about a great team effort," said Grantham. "The guys put a lot of pressure on teams' offense to keep them from getting easy shots on goal and that really helps me out in net when opposing teams don't have time to get set up for ideal shots."
ICC will step out of division play for four-straight matches before stepping back into division play at home against Hinds Community College on Tuesday, October 8th.
