After a scoreless first half, Drew Williams (Tupelo) tied the game 1-1 on a penalty kick in the 75th minute, but Hinds was able to get the game-winning goal in the final minute of the contest to pick up the 2-1 division win.
"This was the defensive struggle we expected it to be," said ICC soccer coach Mike Sullivan. "We missed some scoring chances, but a lot of that has to be credited to Hinds."
The Indians fall to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in MACJC North Division play.
"We have some young guys that are still trying to adjust and learn how to win on this level," said Sullivan. "I think this week has been a good week in helping these guys know what it takes to be successful."
Cullen Grantham (Corinth) gave up 2 goals and had 4 saves as he went the distance in net.
