Williamson qualifies for NJCAA Region 23 Tournament

TUNICA, Miss. – Cooper Williamson qualified for the upcoming NJCAA Region 23 Golf Championship Tournament after earning a Top 30 finish in the MACCC Championship Tournament.

Williamson led the Indians in the by shooting 81 (+9) on the first 18 holes of the day and 79 (+7) on the final round of the tournament to jump up eight spots on the leader board and finish 28th with a 36-hole total of 160 (+16).

Due to weather concerns, the 36-hole tournament was played in one day at Tunica National Golf Course.

Hogan Payne carded a 78-86-164 (+20) to finished 39th (+22); Hayden Williams shot 80-86-166 to earn the 43rd spot; Sam Parker fired an 80-97-177 (+33); and Everett Price finished with an 85-93-178 (+34).

The Indians combined to shoot 663 (+87) and finished in 10th place.

The Region 23 Tournament will be held at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club in Philadelphia April 22-24. Williamson will play for a spot in the NJCAA Division II Golf Championship Tournament at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin, MO.
