PHILADELPHIA - The golf team improved by nine strokes on day two of the East Central Invitational, but finished tenth at MACCC Event #2 at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club.
James Stenson (Ireland) finished ninth as he shot three over; he was one stroke away from being tied for seventh-place. Cooper Williamson (Starkville) finished tied for 34th after shooting five over while Everett Price (Amory) took 53rd place as he shot 10 over. Williamson and Price both improved by five strokes each from the first round.
Trice Rakestraw (Saltillo) also improved from his first round performance from being tied from 56th and shooting +15 to finishing tied 55th and shooting +13. Sam Parker (Amory) took six strokes off his card to take 61st place.
The Indians will be back in action October 16-17 for MACCC Event #3 when they travel down to the Laurel Country Club for the Jones College Invitational.
