Indians finish seventh at MACCC Event 3

Meridian, Miss. - Itawamba Community College golf finished the fall portion of their scheduled Tuesday by shooting a 329 (+41) to finish in seventh place of MACCC Event 3 at Briarwood Country Club. 

In the opening round, the Indians shot 35 over (323) and were only six stroke behind that in day two for a two day total of 652 (+76). However, the Indians fell from third to seventh place as most of the teams above them improved on their day one scores. 

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College won the event shooting 23 over (599).

Corbin Andrada (Olive Branch) earned the Indians highest finish as he shot six over (78) on day two and finished tied for 15th and was 15 over (159) for the tournament.

Trace Sonnier (Vancleave) was right behind Andrada and finished tied for 18th after shooing nine over (81) on day two and finishing 17 over (161) overall.

Rhett Gullett (Olive Branch) finished tied for 26 thand was 21 over (165) for the tournament after shooting 13 over (85) on day two.

Ross Reeder (Tupelo) shot 15 over (87) Tuesday and finished 25 over (169) to tie for 35th place.

Jake Ware (Oxford) wrapped up the day for the Indians finishing tied for 41st shooting 27 over (171) in the tournament and 13 over (85) on day two.

The Indians will pick up the spring portion of their schedule February 6-7 at MACCC event 4 hosted by Pearl River.
