Indians end first round in third at MACCC Event 3

Meridian, Miss. - In their final tournament of the fall portion of the season, Itawamba Community College's golf program is in third place after the opening round of MACCC Event e at Briarwood Country Club. 

The Indians shot 35 over (323) in the first round and are only six strokes behind second place Pearl River Community College who shot 29 over (317). 

East Central Community College is one stroke behind the Indians and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College leads the tournament after shooting three over (291).

Rhett Gullett (Olive Branch) and  Trace Sonnier (Vancleave) led the Indians as they both shot eight over (80) and are tied for 13th overall.

Corbin Andrada (Olive Branch) is tied for 19th and is nine over (81), followed by Ross Reeder (Tupelo) who is one stroke behind Andrada at 10 over (82) and is tied for 23rd.

Jake Ware (Oxford) finished the first round tied for 42nd after shooting 14 over (86).

The Indians will tee off Tuesday morning as they look to move up the leaderboard in the final fall event of the year.
