Indians finish sixth at MACCC Championship, two qualify for District D

Wesson, Miss. – The Indians finished the regular season Saturday with a sixth-place finish in the MACCC Championship.

The Indians improved on their day one scores to jump two spot to sixth and shot a two-day team-total of 686 (+110).

Landry Miller (Florence, Ala.) led the Indians and finished tied for 17th with a 163 (+19), followed by Rhett Gullett (Olive Branch) finishing in 27th with a 172 (+28).

Trace Sonnier (Vancleave) finished tied for 28th with a 173 (+29). Hayden McCostlin (Bruce) finished tied for 32nd with a 178 (+34) and Jack Herring (Saltillo) finished tied for 40th with a 189 (+45)

Meridian won the tournament with a team total of 614 (+38).

Miller and Gullett qualify for the NJCAA District D Tournament that will be held April 25-26 at Kirkwood National Golf Club in Holly Springs.
