Indians earn Top 5 finish in MGCCC Fall Invitational

GULFPORT, Miss. - The Indians finished fifth in the Gulf Coast Fall Invitational with a two-day total of 643 (+67) after carding a 323 on Tuesday.

Landry Miller (Florence, Ala.) carded a 78 on the final day of play to finish in three-way tie for 16th with a 155 (+11). Ross Reeder (Tupelo) moved up a spot after turning in back-to-back rounds of 78 to finish at 156 (+12) to tie Alex Navarro of Co-Lin for 19th. Trace Sonnier (Vancleave) finished in a three-way tie for 34th at 164 (+20) after shooting 84 on Tuesday. Rhett Gullett (Olive Branch) and two other golfers tied for 39th at 168 (+24) while Braxton Kesler (Saltillo) finished tied for 45th at 170 (+26).

Gulf Coast earned the tournament championship with a 584 (+8). The Bulldogs' Chase Kaiser earned top medalist honors with a 139 (-5) for the tournament.
