Indians tied for third after first round of ICC Fall Invitational

Amory, Miss. – After the opening round of the ICC Fall Invitational/MACCC Event No. 2, the Indians are tied for third with Meridian with a team score of 295.

The Indians are only four strokes out of the lead as Northeast leads with a total of 291 and one shot behind second place Co-Lin who finished with a 294.

Landry Miller (Florence, Ala.) leads the Indians after shooting a 70 (-2) in the opening round, followed by Shawn Cox (Little Rock, Ark.) with a 71 (-1).

Trace Sonnier (Vancleave) posted the third lowest score for the Indians with a 73 (+1) and Braxton Kesler (Saltillo) shot an 81 (+9). Hughes Powell (Tupelo) finished the opening round with an 85 (+13).

The Indians will tee off the final round from River Birch Golf Club at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
