Indians finish 4th in Northeast Invitational

BOONEVILLE, Miss. – Freshman Landry Miller finished third overall and earned a spot on the All-Tournament team to help Indians earn fourth place in the Northeast Invitational at Shiloh Ridge on Tuesday.

Miller (Florence, Ala.) carded an opening round 70 (-2) to go into the clubhouse tied for second on a cold and rainy Monday. He came back with a 71 (-1) on Tuesday to fall back a spot and to finish three strokes off the lead.

Luke Dolan (Florence, Ala.) entered the final day of played tied for fourth after shooting 71 (-1) on the first day of play but finish tied for 12th after turning in 79 (+7) on Tuesday.

Braxton Kesler (Saltillo) continues to show signs of improvement as he finished tied for 26th with a two-day total of 160 (+16). The freshman struggled in the favorable weather to shoot 82 (+10) but rebounded with a 78 (+6) to close out tournament play.

Hayden McCostlin (Bruce) finished 37th after carding an 85 (+13) on Monday and an 86 (+14) on Tuesday. Eric Massey (Pisgah) shot an 86 (+14) and 87 (+15) to earn the 39th spot on the leaderboard.

Meridian's Ethan Dyess took home medalist honors after finishing with a 138 (-6) on the tournament whole host Northeast earned the team win at 575 (-1) for the two-day event.

The Indians will be back in action this weekend at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Raymond for the Hinds Invitational.
