Indians in second place after Day 1 of the District Championship

AMORY, Miss. – Indians finished in second placed after carding a team total 299 on Day 1 of the NJCAA District D Championship tournament at Riverbirch.

Dean Garrett (New Albany) took the lead into the clubhouse with an opening round 70 (-2). Art Thompson (Columbus) fired a 75 (+3) and Garrett Moore (Southaven) shot a 76 to opening the tournament. (+4) Brandon Barrett (Tupelo) carded a 78 (+6) while Tyler Cheslak (Southaven) turned in a 79 (+7) on Day 1.

Wilson Gammill (Ackerman) carded an 81 (+9), Parker Brown (Oxford) turned in an 87, and Hunter Lucas (Belmont) shot a 90 (+18).
