Indians in the hunt after Day 1 of the Hinds Invitational

RAYMOND, Miss. - The ICC golf team opened the season at the Hinds Invitational with a 305 Day 1 score at Eagle Ridge to finish the day tied for fourth place.

The Indians were led by were led by Brandon Barrett (Tupelo), who shot a 2-over-par 74. He is tied for fourth and is two strokes off the lead help by Meridian's Mitchell Fifer and Cameron Mobley of Gulf Coast at 72 (E).

Garrett Moore (Southaven), Art Thompson (Columbus) and Dean Garrett (New Albany) each finished the day tied for 21st at 77 (+5). Hunter Lucas (Belmont) went into the clubhouse tied at 34th after carding an 82 (+10) on Saturday.

Meridian shot a 301 to grab the lead by two strokes over defending national champion Gulf Coast.
