CORINTH – The ICC golf team completed its second tournament of the season, finishing tied for seventh place at the MACJC Preview Invitational at Shiloh Ridge Golf Course on Sunday.

The Indians shot 313 (+25) in the final round to finish with a 322-313—635 (+59) team score.

Sophomore Jacob Dixon (Baldwyn) anchored the Indians, shooting +4 (69-79—148) in the 36-hole tournament to finish tied for 17th. Dixon carded a 3-under 69 on Saturday before running into trouble on Sunday to shot 79 (+7) to slip down the leaderboard.

Freshman Kirk Reeder (Tupelo) made the biggest jump up the leaderboard for the Indians. Reeder carded an opening round 80 (+8) to finish tied for 36th but bounced back with a round of 72 (E) on Sunday to finish tied for 26th with a two-day total of 152 (+8).

Will Thompson improved four spots on Sunday's leaderboard. The sophomore from Amory carded an 84 (+12) on Saturday to finish tied for 48th before turning in a final round 83 (+11) to finish at 167 (+23).

Freshman Andrew McDonald (Fulton) also made a move up the board on Sunday. McDonald opened the Invitational with an 89 (+17) to finish tied for 50th but rallied to cut nine strokes off his final day total to card an 80 (+8) to finish at 169 (+25) and move up three spots to finish tied for 47th.

Braxton West (Fulton) moved up two spots to finish 50th on Sunday after carding a two-day total of 172 (+28) with Mark Tipton (Hamilton) sliding down a spot to 54th at 190 (+46) and Jonathan Duncan (Pontotoc) finishing 55th at 191 (+47).

ICC will return to the links when they participate in the Co-Lin Fall Invitational on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 in Wesson.
