CORINTH – The Indians hit the links this weekend in the MACJC Preview Invitational at Shiloh Ridge Golf Course in Corinth.

Jacob Dixon (Baldwyn) led the Indians with a team best 69 (-3) to finish in a tie for 5th place on Saturday's leaderboard.

Kirk Reeder (Tupelo) finished tied for 36th, shooting an 80 (+8) on the day with Will Thompson (Amory) finishing four shot backs of Reeder, carding an 84 (+12).

Andrew McDonald (Fulton) closed the opening round tied for 50th with an 89 (+17). Braxton West (Fulton) went into the clubhouse at 52nd with a 90 (+18). Mark Tipton (Hamilton) ended the day at 53rd with a 95 (+23) and Jonathan Duncan (Pontotoc) carded a 105 (+33).

The Indians completed the opening round of the Invitational with a score of 322 (+34) on the par-72, 6,525-yard course to finish in 8th place.

The final round of the MACJC Preview Invitational is scheduled for an 8:30 shotgun start on Sunday.
