TANNER, Ala. – The Indians opened the season with a 74-66 win over Lawson State in the Calhoun Classic on Friday.
The Indians (1-0) rallied from a 35-32 halftime deficit by outscoring the Cougars 42-31 in the second half to pick up the win to open the season.
Damarion Winston (Yazoo City) and Marcel Bridges (Brandon) scored 16 points each. AJ Dent (Thomasville, GA) added 10 points.
The Indians will return to Calhoun tomorrow to take on Wallace-Selma.
