Indians continue to struggle in loss at Coahoma

CLARKSDALE – It wasn't the best night for the Indians as they dropped a 91-77 decision at Coahoma in Clarksdale Monday night.

It was a close contest in the first half with the Indians taking the 45-44 lead going into halftime, but the Tigers went on a 47-32 run in the second half to close out the game.

Bryson Dawkins (Ozark, Ala.) led ICC offensively with 22 points with Dayveun Anderson (Tupelo) adding 11, and Chris Minton (Indianola) and AJ Dent (Thomasville, Ga.), 10 each. Anderson also recorded a team-best 10 assists along with his 11 points to secure the first double-double of his ICC career.

The Indians (17-4, 3-3 MACCC) will be back in action on Thursday, February 8 when they return to the Davis Event Center to host East Central for a 7:30 p.m. conference faceoff.
