Indians cruise in second half towards 85-71 win over Talladega JV

FULTON – The Itawamba Community College men's basketball team extended their win streak to 13 games after an 85-71 victory over Talladega College's junior varsity squad at the Davis Event Center Thursday night.

After trailing for most of the first half, the Indians shook off the slow start and went into the halftime break with a 48-31 lead and never looked back on their way to the 14-point win.

Bryson Dawkins (Ozark, Ala.) led the Indians offensively with 15 points while Tycen McDaniels (Columbus, Ga.) added 11 and AJ Dent (Thomasville, Ga.), 10.

Dent also had eight rebounds in the victory, a team-best. Dawkins added seven and MJ Smith (West Point), six.

The Indians (13-1) will play again on Saturday, January 13 when they host West Kentucky Tech in the Davis Event Center at 3:30 p.m.
