FULTON – The Indians improved to 2-1 with a 90-74 win over Marion Military Institute Tuesday night at the Davis Event Center.
A strong start helped the Indians take a 47-32 lead at halftime, and they never looked back enroute to the 16-point victory.
Freshmen Marcel Bridges (Brandon) and MJ Smith (Prairie) led ICC with 17 and 16 points respectively while AJ Dent (Thomasville, Ga.) and Dayveun Anderson (Tupelo) added 14 and 11. The Indians shot 68.8 percent from the free throw line with Chris Minton (Indianola), Demondre Graham (Meridian) and Smith going two-for-two in trips to the line.
ICC's next game is with Stillman College's junior varsity team Thursday at 6 p.m. in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
