Decatur, Miss. – No. 24 Itawamba Community College men's basketball picked up a big 80-68 road win over East Central Community College Thursday.
The win is the ninth straight for the Indians (15-1, 5-0 MACCC), as they avenged the fall semester loss to the Warriors. Unlike the first meeting, the Indians controlled the game and the lead from the beginning and led 33-24 at halftime.
It was a very physical and tight contest in the second half, but the Indians were able to outscore the Warriors 47-44 on their way to the win.
Josh Lee (Canton), who had a career night Tuesday against Coahoma, continued his impressive week with a team-high 19 points in the win and grabbed 10 rebounds to complete hit fourth double-double this season.
George Marshall (Jackson), current conference player of the week, followed with 14 points, and Rock Robinson (Pontotoc) added 13 points. Chris Minton (Indianola) played a big role in the win scoring 12 points off the bench, and Jaden Webb (Olive Branch) picked a career-high 16 rebounds.
The nationally ranked Indians will host Hinds Community College Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Davis Eventer Center, and will be broadcast on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
