Lee's career night helps No. 24 Indians roll over Coahoma

FULTON, Miss. – Josh Lee (Canton) had a career-night in the No. 24 Indians' dominating, 78-64, win over Coahoma on Tuesday.

Lee scored 25 points, topping his 21-point effort in a win over Lawson State in November.

The Indians (14-1, 4-0 MACCC) hit their first six shots of the game, including connecting on three-straight three pointers, to take a 15-2 lead over the Tigers (9-4, 2-1 MACCC) at the 16:15 mark of the first half.

Coahoma rallied out of the timeout to make it a six-point contest, but the Indians answered to push the lead back out to 13 and held it there for majority of the first half before going into halftime with a 39-27.

MACCC Player of the Week George Marshall (Jackson) found Tyre Singleton (Olive Branch) with a no-look pass that ignited the crowd and gave the Indians a 62-42 lead midway through the second half. The Tigers clawed back to make a 12-point game late in the contest, but the Indians took care of business to cruise to the 78-64 victory.

Rock Robinson (Pontotoc) had 13, Kolby Horace (Spanish Fort, Ala.) added 12 and Gemari Marshall (Jackson) came off the bench to score 10 in the win.

The Indians will be back in action Thursday night at East Central. The Warriors (10-5, 1-2 MACCC) defeated the Indians, 93-84, in November when the two teams met at the DEC for a non-conference game.
