FULTON, Miss. - The Indians fell short in a nonconference game to East Central, 93-84, on Thursday.

After falling behind by 19 in the second half, Kolby Horace knocked down a pair of free throws to cut the Warriors' lead to 86-76 with 2:02 left in the game.

The Indians forced a turnover, but a missed layup and three pointer allowed East Central avoid disaster and maintain the 10-point advantage.

Josh Lee collected a deflected ball off an inbounds and threw down a dunk to make it an 88-80 game at 59.8 mark. Horace tipped in a missed shot after a Warrior turnover to make it a six-point game with less than 50 seconds left to play. East Central was able to knock down clutch free throws in the closing moments of the game to pick up the win.

Lee and George Marshall each scored 18 points while Horace chipped in 16 in the Indians' first loss of the season.

East Central trailed 22-11 midway through the first half but answered with a 17-1 run and never looked back after taking a 41-32 halftime lead.

The Indians will look to rebound after the Thanksgiving break when they travel to Coahoma on Tuesday, November 29.
