Indians rally to beat Bevill State, 86-73

JASPER, Ala. – The Indians used an impressive second half rally to pick an 86-73 road win over Bevill State. 

ICC battled back from a 42-38 deficit behind a strong defensive effort and clutch free throw shooting down the stretch to improve to 5-0 on the season.

The Indians rallied to take their first lead of the game, 46-43, early in the second half but saw the Bears rally to retake the lead, 59-58, halfway through the second half. The two teams traded the lead until the Indians were able to take a 70-65 advantage with 5:43 left in the game before holding on for the 86-73 win.

George Marshall led the Indians with 20 points and five rebounds. Kolby Horace added 12 points and seven rebounds while Josh Lee, Gemari Marshall and Tyre Singleton each chipped in 10 points in the win.

Gemari Marshall connected on 10 of 12 from the free throw line as the Indians shot 77.5% from the line.

The Indians will be back in action when they host the same Bevill Bears squad Monday at 5:30 p.m. The game will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
