Scooba, Miss. – In a tough conference road game, the Indians battled with No. 19 East Mississippi, but dropped a 65-51 decision.
The Indians (10-9, 4-8 MACCC) pulled withing four points, 50-46 late in the second half, but the Lions answered with a couple big three pointers to extend their lead on their way to the win.
"We got in a couple deep holes and fought back within sticking distance," said Coach Grant Pate. "They hit some threes to stretch it out and we just didn't get enough free throw opportunities tonight."
Fred Cleveland, Jr (Chicago, Ill.) and Daniel Mayfield (Toccoa, Ga.) led the Indians with 14 points each.
The Indians will host Holmes Community College Monday night at 5:30 p.m. with Sophomore Night recognitions being held prior to tip-off.
