Cleveland's triple-double leads Indians to win over Co-Lin

Fulton, Miss. – Fred Cleveland, Jr's career night led Itawamba Community College men's basketball to a 78-64 conference win over Copiah-Lincoln Community College Monday night and snapped a five-game losing streak for the Indians.

Cleveland (Chicago, Ill.) picked up a triple-double by scoring a career-high 35 points with 10 rebounds and 10 assists. He made seven three pointers in the game, three of which came on consecutive trips down the floor early in the second half to put the Indians in front for good.

Down the stretch, Cleveland and Co-Lin's Lerenzo Fort III, who finished with 34 points, traded big shots, but a big three pointer from Rock Robinson (Pontotoc) and a pair of late threes from Dashun Berry (Houlka) helped ice the game for ICC.

The Indians (10-8, 4-7 MACCC) trailed for most of the first half but rallied before halftime and tied the game at 34-34 on a rebound and put back buzzer beater by Isaiah Thompson (Amory)..

Walter Hamilton (Potts Camp) followed Cleveland with 12 points, and the Indians combined to make 12 three pointers on their way to the 78-64 win

The Indians will travel to Scooba Thursday for a conference game against No. 19 East Mississippi Community College with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
