Indians tame the Tigers, 75-61

Fulton, Miss. – The Indians picked up a big North Division and rivalry win Thursday night defeating Northeast, 75-61.

After a slow start by both teams, the Indians held 29-26 lead at halftime.

The lead remained at 3, 43-40, until Dashun Berry (Houlka) hit a three-pointer with 11:24 left to play to extend the lead out to six.

In the final minutes, the Indians picked up the play in the post with Brandon Brown (Memphis, Tenn.) and Keyan Mims (Fort Mills, SC) getting close and finishing their shots to stretch the Indian lead and pick up the win.

Brown led the charged for the Indians with 25 points, and Hunter Stacy (Biggersville) followed with 12 points. Mims rounded out the double digit scoring with 11 points.

Next up for the Indians is a trip to the Delta where they will take on Coahoma Monday night at 6:00 p.m. in Clarksdale.
