Booneville, Miss. – The Indians fell 75-63 to Northeast Thursday night.
The Indians (1-3, 1-3 MACCC North) made it a two-possession contest, 48-45, midway through the second half, but the Tigers (5-0, 5-0 MACCC North) pulled away in the final minutes to pick up the win.
A trio of Indians had standout performances with Brandon Brown (Memphis, Tenn.) leading the charge with 20 points. Rod Jones (Albany, Ga.) followed with 11 and Shermontis Mitchell (Jackson) tied his career-high with 11 points.
The Indians will return to the friendly confides of the Davis Event Center Monday to take on Coahoma. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
