Indians come up short against East Mississippi

FULTON – The Indians' upset bid of East Mississippi came up short after a 58-55 loss on Sophomore Night.

Kendricus Carlton hit a lay-up to make it a 55-53 game in favor of the Lions with 33.1 seconds left to play. East Mississippi took care of business from the charity stripe in the final seconds of the game to escape with the three-point victory after the Indians missed a potential game-tying shot at the buzzer.

Brandon Brown had 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Indians. Carlton added 14 points in the loss.

The Indians will close out the regular season at Holmes on Thursday with the No. 4 seed in the North on the line.
