Indians' rally comes up short at Northwest

The Indians saw Northwest hold off a late rally to escape with a 71-65 win in Senatobia on Thursday.

Tyler Smith (Atlanta, Ga.) led the Indians with 14 points while Brandon Brown (Memphis, Tenn.) had another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Rance Champ (Shannon) got hot from three to help spark the Indians' late run before finishing the game with 11. Ma'Darius Hobson (Houlka) scored 10 points in 18 minutes after leaving the game with an injury late in the first half.

Jakobi Pearson led the Rangers with 18 points.

The Rangers moved into sole possession of third place with the win over the Indians and holds the head-to-head tiebreaker, if needed.
