Indians fall to Northeast, 60-57

Fulton, Miss. – After holding the lead for most of the contest, the Indians saw two late chances fall off target to give Northeast a 60-57 victory.

The Indians (7-11, 3-5 MACJC North) led for most of the contest and held an 11-point lead, 34-23, at halftime.

Northeast took their second lead of the night with 2:38 remaining and lead 60-57 with under a minute to play. The Indians missed a three-point attempt with five seconds left, and Northeast followed by missing a pair of free throws.

With time winding down, the Indians took one last shot to try to force overtime, but the shot was off the mark giving the Tigers the come from behind victory.

Ma'Darius Hobson (Houlka) led the Indians with 18 points, followed by Tyler Smith (Atlanta, Ga) with 10 points.

The Indians have a bye date Thursday and will return to action Monday, Feb. 10 when they host Mississippi Delta at 7:30 p.m. The North Division battle will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
