Indians fall to MS Delta in overtime

MOORHEAD, Miss. – A strong second half by the Mississippi Delta Trojans forced overtime and carried them to a 74-65 win over the Indians.

The Indians (6-5, 1-2 MACJC North) led by 12, 36-24, at halftime and battled a surging Trojan squad in the second half.

A 19-point performance by Tre Jenkins (Tupelo) kept the Indians in front for a lot of contest but at the end of regulation, the game was tied at 57-57.

The Indians struggled to find their shot in overtime while the Trojans managed to hit their shots on their way to the 74-65 victory.

Chayton York (Philadelphia) provided a spark off the bench with 11-points and Jospeh Jones (Tupelo) added an additional 10-points from the bench.

The Indians won't get much time to rest before their next North Division contest as they travel to Booneville Monday for a rivalry showdown. Monday night's game with be the Indians third game in four days.
