Carouthers joins the men's basketball team

FULTON, MS – Coach Grant Pate announced the addition of former Aberdeen High School standout Marcus Carouthers on Friday.
The 6-foot-3 forward was named the 2015 Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal Player of the Year and the 2015 Small Schools All-Area Boys Player of the Year by Columbus Dispatch after helping lead the Bulldogs to the Class 3A State Championship game.
Carouthers averaged 21.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.7 steals, 1.9 assists and one block per game and shot 56-percent from the floor as a senior in high school.
