FULTON, MS - Coach Grant Pate announced sophomore Howard Thomas (Brandon) has signed a national letter of intent to continue his career as a student-athlete with Coach Dave Simmons and the McNesse State University Cowboys next season.

The 6-foot-7 forward, 250-pound forward averaged 10 points and 9.6 rebounds per game and starting in all 23 games played during his sophomore season. The Brandon, MS native shot 55-percent from the floor while also connecting on 55-percent from the charity stripe.

He earned MACJC All-State second team and All-Star honors after recording eight double-doubles in his final season with the Indians and was amongst the Top 35 in the country in rebounds per game.

As a freshman, Thomas averaged 10.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game after starting 15 of 18 games played.


McNeese is a DI program and member of the Southland Conference located in Lake Charles, LA.
