BOAZ, AL - The Indians forced Snead State into three turnovers in the final minutes of the game before a putback dunk over a pair of Parson defenders by Barri Hill (Jasper, AL) helped wash the bitter taste of home cooking out of the Indians mouth with a 76-74 overtime victory.

Hill finished the game with 13 points - 6 during the extra session – and grabbed 12 rebounds.

A pair of questionable clock operation follies helped Snead State stay within striking distance of the Indians late in the game.

Nursing a slim lead after grabbing a rebound at 10:05 mark of the second half, the Indians were whistled with a shot clock violation shortly after crossing midcourt with 9:49 left to play. The Parsons converted the call into a quick three pointer to pull with six points.

Two possessions later, the Indians were forced to rush an ill-advised shot after the shot clock had ran down to two seconds shortly after establishing possession in the front court. Once again, the Parson took advantage of the misfortunes and nailed another three pointer to make it a two-point contest.

Martaveous McKnight (Walls) connected on a free throw to take a three-point but the Parsons drilled a deep three to force the game into ovetime.

Snead State connected on 14 three pointers and 10-of-13 free throw attempts on the night.

Howard Thomas (Brandon) scored a team-high 15 points and cleared 10 rebounds. Quenten Taylor (Calhoun, GA) added 14 points and 5 assists while LeDarius Woods (Tunica) came off the bench to score 13.

The Indians (8-5, 1-1 MACJC North) will hit the road to reopen MACJC North Division play against the Holmes Bulldogs (9-3, 1-1 MACJC North) on Monday.
