SCOOBA, MS – A motivated pack of Lions took care of business in the second half to pull away for a 79-59 victory over the Indians on Tuesday.

After trailing 43-28 at the break, ICC pulled within nine twice in the second half, but the Lions had an answer for each Indian run before pulling away for the victory to avenge last season's last in the MACJC Championship game.

Austin Timms (Mooreville) led the Indians with 15 while Kevis Fleming (Robinsonville) and Tyrone Wooten (Memphis, TN) each added 11 points in the loss.

Jahyde Gardiner led four Lions (11-3, 5-1 MACJC North) scoring in double figures with a game-high 21 points.

The Indians have dropped fifth-straight game and fell to 5-11 overall and 1-4 in the North with the loss.

ICC will return to the Davis Event Center on Thursday to host Mississippi Delta for the college's second annual Pack the House Night. The Lady Indians will tip at 6:00 and the Indians will follow at 8:00 p.m.
