ELLISVILLE, MS – The 2015 portion of the season tipped off Tuesday night and it was a rough start for the Indians as they fell 82-65 to the Bobcats.

The Indians (5-7, 1-1) traded shots with the Bobcats early in the contest and tied the game on a Sean Watkins (Shannon) basket eight minutes into the first half. Minutes later, the Bobcats regained the lead, but Tory Lee (Columbia) hit a 3-pointer to pull the Indians within 1-point. Sadly, that would be the closest the Indinas would pull with the Bobcats pulling away to carry a 36-23 lead into halftime.

A 3-pointer by Dee Gates (Baldwyn) started the Indians' scoring the second half, but the Bobcats extended their lead to 20-points four minutes into the half. The Indians couldn't seem to find an answer for the hot handed Bobcats, as they fell 82-65.

Lakee Westbrook (Shannon) and Barri Hill (Jasper, AL) led the Indians as they picked up 15-points each.

The Indians will now hit the road again as they travel to Nashville, TN for a battle with Volunteer State. Tip-off against the Pioneers is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
