FULTON, MS – The Indians played Snead State for the second time in less than a week on Saturday. In the first meeting, the Indians fell by 4-points, but a 32-point performance by sophomore Tyrone Wooten (Memphis, TN) led them to a 76-67 win in the second meeting.

It was a quick turnaround for the Indians as they had to face Snead State less than 48-hours later after defeating a tough Meridian squad on Thursday night. The Parons jumped out to and early lead making it an uphill battle for the Indians who trailed 24-9 halfway through the first half. However, a 10-0 run led by Wooten put the Indians back in the game and trailed only 32-30 at the break.

Wooten and Austin Timms (Mooreville) led the charge early in the second half as both hit shots to give the Indians the lead. The lead would change hands several times in the second half but Timms' jumper with 5-miuntes into the second half that would start a 14-7 run that extended the Indians lead.

Snead State would mount a comeback and pull within striking distance, but never pulled closer than 5-points. The Indians never relinquished the lead as they picked up the 76-67 win.

Wooten picked up 20-points in the second half on his way to 32 total points, followed by Timms who scored 14-points. Howard Thomas (Brandon) chipped in 10-points and Dee Gates (Baldwyn) had 10-assist coming off the bench.

The Indians will resume the season Monday, December 1 when they travel to Tuscaloosa to take on Shelton State. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
