FULTON, MS – Sophomore center Tory Rice has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Choctaws of Mississippi College.

"It feels good knowing I'll be able to continue my basketball career on the next level," said Rice. "I learned a lot [at ICC] and I really appreciate Coach (Grant) Pate and Coach (Adam) Kirk for helping me grow as a player."

The Starkville native averaged 10 points per game and the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Champion Indians in rebounds and field goal percentage with 8.1 boards per game while connecting on 56.1 percent of his shots.

"Over the past two years Tory has really been a staple of our program," said Coach Pate. "He is a true student-athlete and is really going to be missed. We're excited for Tory and we're excited for Mississippi College."

Rice was selected to the MACJC North All-Star team and earned MACJC Academic All-State honors in his final season with the Indians.

He is the second Indian to continue his basketball career joining UT-Martin signee Alex Anderson (Memphis, TN).
