FULTON, MS – Sophomore guard Deontaye Ewing (Tupelo) scored a game-high 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to turn in his second double-double performance of the season to help the Indians snap a seven-game losing streak with a 63-56 win over Coahoma Community College on

"Deontaye came to practice this week with a refuse-to-lose attitude," said ICC head coach Grant Pate. "It's been a frustrating for him and the rest of the guys, but tonight you could just see in his eyes he was going to do whatever it took to get us back on the winning side of things."

Fellow sophomore Quintin Lee (Ripley, TN) added 13 points and seven rebounds while Johnthan McGee (Jackson) had 12 points and seven rebounds.

"I really feel like Deontaye's attitude was contagious this week," Pate commented. "There was a different kind of focus getting ready for this game and throughout the game. I think we had let the losing streak get to us over the past few games, but tonight the guys refused to lose."

Tory Rice (Starkville) had a game-high 13 rebounds to go along with seven points in the win.
